BOGUE (BOOPS BOOPS)
It is a species of fish that belongs to the Sparidae family in the Perciformes order.
It is a fish with long body, almost cylindrical, with a rounded snout. Big eyes. With just one type of teeth on both sides of the jaw: just one row of plain incisors and toothed rim. The lateral line is very clear. Its grey yellowed greenish, with silver and bright sides, with around 5 golden longitudinal lines.
The regular size is 15-20cm, even though the male fish can reach a size of 36cm of total length.
- Extractive fishing, the most used way of fishing is by trawling. The capture zone is the Northwest Atlantic (FAO 27)
